Final thoughts:
I never thought I'd write about laundry detergent. But after 40 years of irritated skin and doctors who couldn't help, I finally found what worked.
I'm relieved and frustrated at the same time. Relieved that my skin finally calmed down. Frustrated that I spent decades washing my clothes in chemicals I didn't know existed.
I'm not a doctor. I'm not a scientist. I'm just a woman who wishes someone had told her sooner.
If you're reading this, I encourage you to check what's in your detergent. Look for 1,4-dioxane. You won't find it on the label — but that doesn't mean it's not there.
If sharing this helps even one person, it was worth writing.
Your skin is your body's largest organ. Be careful what you put on it.
Thank you for reading.
